How To: Wear High-Waisted

Author: Audrey Rogers
Date: 2008-08-25 21:44
It wasn’t that long ago that hip hugging styles swarmed streets everywhere, finding its pinnacle in Britney Spears’ almost disgracefully low Levis. Now, fashion has provided a much more elegant look and it seems the high waist has travelled from the 1940s into the present with explosive consequences.

From Kate Moss to Alexa Chung, high waisted denim, skirts and shorts have flooded catwalks to high streets. But how can those not pertaining to the fashion pedigree pull off this tricky look? Coco Chanel asserted that “Fashion is architecture. It is a matter of proportions”, get your proportions right and the high-waist will become a look you can comfortably call your own.

Firstly, for novice “High-Waisters” stick with skirts, they are more comfortable, easier than trousers and flattering to most body types. Start with subdued or darker shades, like black, navy blue or black. As you develop the look you can reach out into prints, stripes and vibrant colours. It is important to make sure your skirt is crisply pressed, wrinkles create bunches which can cause unflattering lumps. With high-waists, everything must be smooth.

When deciding on your top half, choose a thin or short top that is easily tucked in. Thin cotton t-shirts and silk or structured blouses work best. A fresh white blouse paired with a black high-waisted skirt sends out a definite message of sophistication, it is a look that can be adapted to any scenario: from a day in the office to cocktails in the evening to a day shopping. Its versatility makes it a high-effect, low-effort look.

Naturally, with this look, the waist is the focal point. A belt is therefore, paramount. From delicate skinny to thick and wide, there are so many options. This is where you can allow a little creativity: choose a belt that will accentuate but also stand out from your outfit. Make it a fashion piece in itself. Also, belts can camouflage and hide any bulges you make have, ensuring a streamlined appearance.

The higher the waistline, often, the shorter legs look. I recommend a pair of heels, in particular chunky, strappy gladiators, which give a slightly rough edge to an otherwise refined look. Jewellery with this look should be carefully chosen; anything too big and daring will clash with your belt, while something too small or delicate will hardly be noticed. It's important to choose something strong, but not too flamboyant, perhaps a pendant necklace or several thin chains grouped together. Instead of lacing yourself in multitudes of bangles and chains, choose one piece, it will have a much more dramatic effect and will avoid clutter.

High Waisted is a style that is achievable for everyone and while we might not have the life of Carrie Bradshaw or Blair Waldorf, it is a look that is just as adaptable to our own lifestyles as it is theirs. Keep these key tips in mind, and always wear a high-waist with confidence. As Diana Vreeland said “ The only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it.” Regardless of colour, shape or length, poise always has and always will make or break an outfit. So high-waist your style in pride.

Shocking: The Strokes Guitarist Starts Designing Suits

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-25 21:18

Okay, so we've always bragged about Albert Hammond Jr.'s amazing old vintage suits. But we never expected him to start designing clothes.

The line of men's suits that Hammond Jr. is working on will be sold initially in Los Angeles, and hi is collaborating with stylist Ilaria Urbinati.

Albert has made old vintage suits his own thing, and he is probably the best dressed guy in The Strokes, which is quite an achievement considering the fact that he's competing against guys like Julian Casablancas. Anyway, Albert told New York Magazine that he'll make suits that he'll wear himself.

Albert is designing classic suits with only minor changes for every new season. We're looking forward to seeing the result of all this work. The suits will be sold at Confederacy store that's opening soon.

Comme des Garcons for H&M (Sneak Peek)

Author: Camilla Pettersen
Date: 2008-08-21 00:59
This is the first sneak peek pictures that has been spread through the internet for the upcoming collection Comme des Garcons for H&M. It reminds me of Minnie Mouse.

The designer Rei Kawakubo has made affordable fashion for the masses. The Japanese fashion brand is one of the most avant garde in the world. The collection consists of both women’s and men’s and is clearly very Japanese. Black and pink together could be a great combinations, but the whole collections reminds  me of Minnie Mouse. There is a lots of  tailored jackets, cropped pants, baggy shorts and skirts in stretch wool in this collaboration. Polka dots are also well represented. The clothes are out in stores in november. What do you think? Is it for you?

Pink and black looks good together

Get Hot Like Heidi Klum

Author: Camilla Pettersen
Date: 2008-08-21 00:54
The latest spokes model for Jordache Jeans is Heidi klum. That isn't a bad idea if you see the pictures below. The supermodel looks better than ever in these fabulous jeans.

Jordache was founded in 1969 by three brothers and quickly became a large clothing company manufacturing apparel like jeans, shirts and outerwear. Their jeans became popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Jordache brand loves Heidi Klum as the model for their jeans as she represents the sexy confidence that they are all about, also as 35 year old Heidi is a mother and businesswoman - which it’s great for the companies image.

Mari Sivertsen Norddahl has some of the coolest photos on Fashhh. And she thinks that Crocs aren't comfortable. No wonder we love her!

Hi! Tell us something about yourself.
- I'm an 18 years old girl from a small town somewhere along the west-coast of Norway. I walk, talk and sleep, and love to use my creativity.

Describe your style.
- I love to wear dresses, skirts, unique garments and bright colours. Plain outfits are a rarity. The spesific style varies from day to day, but one thing is unchangeable: every day is dress-up day.

What do you think of Fashhh?
- It's a great place to browse other people's styles for inspiration, and I like both giving and receiveing feedback.

What is fashion for you?
- A wonderful way to express your personality, first and foremost. It's a way to show where you stand, socially, religioulsy, politically... Fashion is both interesting, agitating and sometimes completely irrelevant, but most of all it's fun.

What is the worst thing some one can wear?
- The wrong size. Oversized is cool, undersized is not.

What do you think of Crocs?
- I have actually concidered them for work, because I spend most of the time on my feet. It's rumoured that they're not half bad for walking, but I've discovered that they're really not comfortable at all!

One fashion advice for the world?
- You should wear what you want, as long as you're comfortable with it.

Do you think The Fashhh Team should delete bad images?
- As long as it's because of what is considered bad picture quality, not what is considered bad clothing.

Eclectic rock chick with legs

Author: Camilla Pettersen
Date: 2008-08-19 21:49
Balmains AW 2008 is maybe the best collection this season. After seeing these pictures, you'll agree.
Balmains AW 2008 collection is my favorite this season. The designer Christophe Decarnin has declared women to be as sexy as they possibly can with showing of bare legs and shoulders. The asymmetric dresses with animal print and the fringed boots is so in the moment.

The designer declared that it's more hard rock and punk this season. Last season Balmain showed us feathers and tye-die patterns but now its all about the legs. If you got it, flaunt it girls. One shoulder dresses with phyton prints, skinny tuxedo pants and cotton tanks is a little of this seasons must haves. Balmains creations is probably not so suitable for everyday life, but one advice is to get the look-for-less and buy fringe ankel boots and a sparkling topp. Wear with skinny pants and you look hot this autum.

The LBD. Wear with fringe-boots for a more laidback look

Show off your legs and shoulders with this little phyton-pattern dress.

Add some sparkling to your outfit to get the right Balmain look. The fringe-boots are a must-have.

One-shoulder dresses is hot this season. Look for shiny materials and python-pattern.

Add a skinny tuxedo pants in too your wardrobe if you don`t want the go for the small dresses. Match with a sparkling jacket, tank top and ankle-boots.

Beyonce Is Expanding Her Empire

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-19 00:37

Beyonce has decided to add a jewelry collection to her fashion brand, House of Deréon. We're not surprised at all.

When you're dating business mogul Jay-Z, it isn't a big shock that you're trying to make a small empire for yourself. But actually, Beyonce isn't alone on this project. She has actually collaborated with her mother and Carolee jewelry. We won't see any of the jewelry until spring, but you guys can look forward to a trendy and not very expensive bunch of jewelry.

Since we don't have any photos of jewelry to show you, we're showing you one of House of Deréons great shoes (we know, it's not a good replacement, but it's better than nothing, right?)

Flashback: The Original Boho Queen

Author: Camilla Pettersen
Date: 2008-08-19 00:10
Wanna know who the real Boho queen was? Look too Anita Pallenberg. The Italian bomb, also knowns as “the sixth Stone”, has inspired both Kate Moss and Sienna Millers boho look.

Anita Pallenberg is probably most known for her three romantic relationship with members of “The Rolling Stones”. She has two children with Keith Richards. Pallenberg, born i 1944, started working as a model and ended up on the cover of Vogue. But it is her boho style that has made her wellknown and inspired nowdays fashion icons. Her funky individual wardrobe of tunics, belts and ethnic jewellery has inspired girls like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller on their road too become icons.
Moss and Pallenberg is now friends and has actually been working together on an special edition of Vogue UK in 2003.

Anita has once said that se never tought her look was gonna be fuzz about because of Bianca Jagger, but i will say that both of the Stones girls has left us with truly inspiration to the ultimate boho look we love so much.

Anita and Brian Jones. Flowerprinted skirt  gives her the right 60- looks.

This look like something Kate Moss could put on but it is Anita and Marianne Faithful.

Stylefile: Anniken Alstad

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-17 00:58
Anniken Alstad is the best dressed person on Fashhh at this very moment. We had to pick her in our Stylefile interview series.

Hi! Tell us something about yourself
.
-I'm a 16 year old girl from Norway, and my passion for fashion started for about a half a year ago. Before that I was just following the crowd and didn't actually think that much about what to wear.
Right now I have reached a point where I have found my personal style and I like spending times on looking for new inspirations, although I like hanging out with friends and dancing as well.

Describe your style
- I would say simple and casual, yet maybe a little hint of tomboy-ish and chicness. Also have to mention inspired and accessorised, less is NOT more when it comes to that.

What do you think of Fashhh?
- I think that it's a great place for both misses and gentlemen who want's to share or/and look for inspirations, and maybe post some outfits them selves. It helps alot getting comments from other fashion-lovers. It's great that there's a place like Fashhh.com whre things like that can happen !

What is fashion for you?
- Fashion has become an important part of my everyday, and I love being creative.
You can find fashion everywhere now a days; in magazines, on the streets, online and even in art and music.

What is the worst thing someone can wear?
- I think people should wear whatever they feel comfortable in. But then again, I kind of dislike ' giant logo-flashes'. You know, when the only thing people want is to get attention for spending that much money on clothing, by flashing labels. come on...

What do you think of Crocs?
- To be honest... I'm a hater. Well, cute on 2-year olds, and great comfort for oldies, but that's it.

One fashion advice for the world?
- Don't be affraid to be yourself. Wear whatever you feel confident, stylish and happy in. Cause you're never fully dressed without a smile.

A Jacket Against Rape And Violence

Author: The Fashhh Team

With this jacket you're a little safer on the streets.

The No-Contact Jacket is pretty amazing. When activated it has 80 000 volts of low amperage electric current pulses just below the surface shell of the entire jackets, say the producer. What this means? That every guy trying to assualt women wearing this jacket, will get a electric shock. Read more about the jacket, designed by Adam Whiton and Yolita Nugent, here.

Crocs Are Not Just Ugly. They're Dangerous Too!

Author: The Fashhh Team

You may have registered that we're not very fond of Crocs. Actually, we think nobody should ever wear them. They're so ugly that it's almost dangerous. And now Atlanta's airport has begun warning travelers of the dangers of Crocs ...

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta is now our favourite airport. According to ksdk.com, a spokesman at the airport says that at least three children have been injured in the last two months after escalators gobbled up their flif flops or Crocs.

So please, stop wearing those stupid rubber shoes. Not only are they ugly as hell, they're dangerous too.

Ginnifer Goodwin - The Oxford $44

Honeyee has made a great feature on this fantastic Louis Vitton collection. It's such a brilliant collection - both classy, stylish and cool all at once. The gray/black pattern is a instant hit.

We really enjoy the sneakers that Onitsuka Tiger make. And we love their 2008 fall/winter collection.

Making sneakers is an art form, and not all big brands know how to make sneakers that look fresh and fun. But Onitsuka Tiger, the brand that's "owned" by Asics and introducec us over to sneaker vending machines, sure knows how to do it. Just check out these new goodies that are available over at Mita.

New Provocative Ad By Wonderbra (And We Love It)

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-14 00:39

Lingerie chain Wonderbra has done it again. Their newest provocative ad shows shows a hot girl that gets her breasts smashed through the glass of a bus shelter (thanks to the support of her marvelous push-up bra).

Behind the ad is the international advertising agency Publicis. We think it's kinda cool, and it suits Wonderbra well - the lingerie chain has a reputation of putting out provocative ads. Like these ones:

That's gotta hurt ...

Who said books couldn't be used in lingerie commercials?

No day has to be pancake day.

Everything gets bigger with Wonderbra.

Neither do we. Who do read that magazine?

Nobody cares.

Hello, Wonderbra (this one was actually featured in an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Pretty good for a lingerie commercial).

All the important stuff in the world is written in small text.

That's what we call big hands!

Kind of hard to keep your concentration when everybody is staring?

When your hands can't hold the umbrealla, at least you have Wonderbra.

Meet The Blogger: Rebecca Walsh

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-12 23:37
Rebecca Walsh loves fashion because it's like acting, just better. We talked to her about her great blog, Fashion First Lunch Later.

Hi! Tell us about your blog.
- Fashion First Lunch Later is all about seeking the height of New York food and fashion. It's a lifestyle website that focuses on the fashion industry and the best places to eat in the city. There is also a small portion of celeb gossip that I post occasionally as well!

How did it get started?
- I worked in some publications as a fashion assistant and then started writing for online blogs. However, I felt they did not capture what I love to write about, which is fashion and food! Truth be told, the dining experience is much about what you are wearing while eating out.

What's the best thing about your blog?
- I love the layout of my blog and the personal touches I bring to the posts- I try to connect with the reader while making it fun to read.

Do you make any money of it?
- Fortunately I do.

What's your best fashion advice?
- Best fashion advice…baby powder. I guess that is more along the lines of beauty advice. However, I love baby powder! You can cut down the amount of times you wash your hair so easily!

What is the world's best fashion city?
- Paris is all about art form of fashion while New York is all about the commercial form of fashion, so it's an objective question. There is more money to be made in New York if you look at it from a business perspective.

What does it take for you to stop blogging?
- If there is a sample sale!!!

Why do you love fashion?
- I love fashion because it's like acting but better! Every day you get to choose what character you want to be by deciding what to wear!

In our interview series Meet the blogger we talk to exciting fashion bloggers from around the world. So far we've talked to Andy Knight about his blog Denimology and Renate Karlsen about her blog.

Vintage Treasures

Author: The Fashhh Team

We love vintage items, and over at Etsy you'll find some great ones. Like these four.

Kissing Doves Necklace
This one is just screaming freedom and love, and that's we love it so much. Want They cost $2.25. That's what we call a bargain.

Gun And Dress Linocut Print
This one is kind of strange, and kind of hot as well. Look at the pink gun on the dress. What are the creator trying to tell us? We have no idea. But we know that it's cool. The size is 5.5" wide and 8.5" tall, and it'll cost you $30.

Upcycled Pillowcase Wristlet
Take a look at this purse! It's just adorable. It's not everyday that you'll find a multi-colour floral pattern that looks as good as this. It's something fairytalish about this thing that is priced at $23.

1950's Gold Metallic Fabric Shoes
This shoes are looking amazing. They're incredible. Look at the shining gold metallic color, the spike heel and the pointy toe. Put on these shoes and you'll be transformed right back to the 1950's. And the price? $42.99.

Six Easy Steps To Become A Real Emo

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-11 15:33
Everyone seems to hate emos these days. We don't. Here's our short and effective guide on how to dress like an emo.

There are more than a few things you need to remember when dressing up like an emo. We've made a list of six things that will make you appear like a real emo:

1. Use the same hair dresser as Pete Wentz

It seems like the most hardcore emos always wear black hair. Boys go for short in the back and long in the front. And girls for fairly long hair. And you need to have hair brushed to one sine. Look at Pete Wentz, he has quite a emo look (even if he's smiling).

2. Pretend to like Bullet For My Valentine.

Some bands are okay to like when being an emo, some bands are not. Like Bullet For My Valentine, Death Cab For Cutie, My Chemical Romance and so on. These are bands that'll give you cred. Just don't show up wearing a Jay-Z shirt.

3. Wear a stud belt.

Dressing like an emo has certain similarities to dressing like a punker. For instance, you need a stud belt. Like this one from Redhaze, costing $36.

4. Wear tight, dark pants. Or red ones.

If you're a guy, you need supertight black jeans. If you're a girl, you have the choice beetween tight black jeans or red patterned jeans. The jeans below are from Redhaze (the red and black) and Revolveclothing (the black Nudies). Or, if you feel like it, you can try a skirt insted, combined with leg warmers.

 or

5. There are really only two shoe brands that matter.

This $32 Chuck Taylor All Star World Skulls are among the coolest shoes you can have when being emo. You basically have the choice beetween two brands, Converse or Vans.

 or

6. Don't be afraid to wear make up or piercing.

Make up is essential, and wearing eyeliner and black fingernail polish is a must have. And piercings are also required, like this barbell.

Still don't know how you can become a real emo? Contine the reading here. But hey, don't be a sad emo. Even emos look better with a smile on their face.

(And if you're still wondering who the guys on the top of this blog post are, they're called Tokio Hotel, and they're a emo band. Even if they won't admit it.)

A Mad Fashion Inspiration

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-10 19:26
Television drama Mad Men has taken the world by storm. We love it as well. But not because of it's great plot, the complex characters or it's magnificent description of the socitey during the 60s. No, we love if because of the fashion.

GQ has written a 6-page spread about the show and bloggers all over the world are praising the fashion of Mad Men, and it would be hard to disagree that Mad Men has had a certain influence on fashion the past time. AMC's series about New York ad execs in 1960 has really had an impact.

For example, Michael Kors last fashion line was heavily influenced by Mad Men. Actually, purchases over $350 came with a DVD of the first season of Mad Men! And just check out this piece by Scott Schuman.

There is something about Mad Men's sleek 1960s look that have caught the attention of everyone in fashion, it seems.

We have no problem understanding why. We're addicted to Mad Men too.

These are the best dressed role figures in Mad Men:

The complex and interesting Don Draper. He's creative director and junior partner at Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency.

Roger Sterling, one of two senior partners of Sterling Cooper. You might have seen this guy (his really name is John Slattery) in Desperate Housewives as well. Forget that. His role in Mad Men is way cooler.

Salvatore Romano is a gay art director at Sterilng Cooper. He has roots from Italy, and he surely dresses like one.

I have recently bought a pair of early 1960s narrow glen plaid trousers from a thrift store. Since I bought them, this has influenced me to continue my vintage hunt for more clothing from this time. Not only is the craftsmanship exceptional, they go with anything in my closet from a burgundy blazer to an over sized black turtleneck sweater. Over the past two years, I have also been collecting early 1960s narrow ties; currently, I have about 100 of them. Again, they are made from the finest quality fabrics and the details are so chic. My next quest is to find an authentic early to mid-1960s men’s suit. If anyone knows where I can find one, please blog me.

Probably As Simple As It Gets

For some people it's all about keeping it simple and clean. Erik Schedin is one of those people.

The sweden based designer Erik Schedin has just launched a pair of shoes, a pair of glasses and - hold your breath - Pledge furniture wax! And that's all the man has to offer.

The shoes are only available in white and in size 44. And the price? The shoes cost $240, the glasses cost $160 and the furniture wax cost $12. So, this stuff is quite expensive. But if you only had three products to sell, wouldn't you too sell them for as much as possible?

Seven T-shirts It's Okay To Wear

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-09 00:55
We might as well admit it, all of us. We've all been there. We've all worn stupid t-shirts that we wouldn't dream of putting on today. T-shirts that makes us wish t-shirts had never been invented. Well, there shall be no more regret. Here are 7 t-shirts it's okay to want.

The Bike Shirt Everyone Should Own (from Etsy)

Biking is once again the coolest thing a person can do. With all the environmental focus, we should all applaude people riding bikes. One of the ways to do so, is wearing a bike t-shirt like this one. And, guess what? It looks superb as well.

A Barak Obama Shirt That Will Remain Cool (By Cafepress)

Yeah, allright, we know. We're not a political blog. However, we have to admit that we're kind of supporting Obama a little. And we're guessing that you're a supporter as well. So why don't you show it? This t-shirt will remain cool in several years, even if Obama never get's to The White House.

The Ultimate Band Shirt (By Threadless)

Threadless makes lots of cool t-shirts. But this is by far their coolest one. These days everyone is walking around in their indie band t-shirts, with band names most people have never heard of. It's almost unusual to see people wear shirts with indie bands like Bright Eyes or Sonic Youth anymore. Apparently, they're too famous! So, just drop all the indie shirts, and wear this one. The message you're sending out couldn't be clearer. You're the boss of yourself. Not some brand new indie band.

Proof That Karl Lagerfeld Is A Cool Guy (By Karl Lagerfeld)

Karl Lagerfeld must be one of the most eccentric guys in the fashion industry, which is quite an achievement. However, Lagerfeld makes superb clothing, and you've got to respect a man at that age wearing a pony tail. So, why don't pay the man some respect? To start with, you can wear him on your t-shirt.

The Coolest Band T-Shirt Since The Ramones (By The Strokes)

The Strokes is one of those bands that's just cool to like. They're not like Metallica, R.E.M. or even Arctic Monkeys. Everyone that has some sort of relationship to music, has a relationship to The Strokes. Even Pharrell has admitted that he loves the band. But still, even critics love the band. So wearing a t-shirt with a The Strokes-logo shows two things. First, you know you're way around rock music. Secondly, you have a taste in coolness. It looks both vintage and brand new, and that's what makes it so special. Even Shia Le Bouf wore this t-shirt in Transformers!

Because The Ghostbusters Will Always Be Cool (By 80stees)

The Ghostbusters were pretty cool when they arrived in the 80s, but the fact is that these movieheroes have just become even more popular during the years. This t-shirts is both funny, cool and has a vintage feel to it. One could easily come off as a looser wearing 80s-shirts, but this one is a safe bet.

A Shirt As White As Paper (By Tiger Of Sweden)

White T-shirts never run out of fashion. Just think of Bruce Springsteen wearing a white t-shirt under his leather jacket. That was cool in the 70s, and it's still cool no. There are lots of things that you can go wrong with when it comes to a t-shirt. But if you have the right kind of jeans, a white t-shirt is never one of them.

The Top 10 Sexiest Lingerie Right Now

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-08 16:06
Everyone is looking for that perfect piece of lingerie. So are we. Here are what we think's the sexiest lingerie on the planet right now.

#10: DKNY: Lace Allure Garter Thong

We've always loved DKNY. And here is another reason to love the brand; their fantastic skirted thong and underwire bra. Just look at it! The thongs is priced at $19.99, and the bra is priced at $35.00, so you won't need to sell your house to afford this.

#9: Elle Macpherson Intimates: Sovereignty Contour Bra + Thong

It's almost too floral embroidered, this bra, but it balances on the right side of a thin line. We especially enjoy the thong. It's amazing. Price? $29 for the thong and $65 for the bra.

#8: Felina: Julianna Skirted Thong

This is one pretty amazing, and so not what you'd be expecting when thinking of a thong. It has floral embroidery on mesh sides and a cotton panel on the front and back. It costs $26, and we think it's worth every dollar.

#7: Le Mystére: Isabella Mesh Tanga + Bra

This tanga style thong has something luxuriuous over it. But stay away from the Ruby Red version. The copper verison is by far the sexiest. The Tanga will cost you $34.00, and the bra $82.00. Expensive? No, the brodery alone is worth it.

#6: Dolce & Gabbana: Please Me Brief + Push-up Bra

This lingerie will either send your thoughts straight to the bedroom or straight to the race course. You see, this model actually reminds us of Formula 1. In a good way. Who would have imagined that Formula 1 would ever be sexy? And the price? Far less than a racing car. The brief costs $35 and the Push-up bra $65.

#5: Chantelle: Caprice Demi Bra + Thong

It comes in a color named "mixed berries". That sounds awful (we know). But it isn't. Actually, it's quite stylish. The whole set is rather sophisticated, and probably one of the most luxurious underwear you'll find right now. The bra goes for $115 and the thong for $70.

#4: Malizia: Fleuri Low Brief + Strapless Bra

La Perla makes great underwear, let there be no doubt about that. This romantic brief and bra is sooo charming and sooo sexy. Even if we're not the biggest fan of a strapless bra, we really enjoy this one. It costs $137 and the brief costs $70.

 #3: D&G Dolce & Gabbana: Temptress Babydoll + Brief

Dolce & Gabbana don't just make the sexiest ad campaigns one can imagine, they also make the sexiest lingerie around. Like this seductive Babydoll. These things are very expensive, but hey, have Dolce & Gabbana ever sold anything cheap? The Temptress Babydoll costs $175 and the Brief costs $55. If you've got the body for these things, you should buy them. Let there be no doubt about that.

#2: Timpa: Duet Daisies Low Rise Thong and Demi Bra

We haven't always liked transparet underwear. There's so many tacky and ugly variations of it, and in most cases it comes off as way too cheap. This one, however, has managed to keep a classy feeling to it. It's all in the details - look at the emrboidered daisies and how the bra is cut off right over the nipple. It's nearly perfect. And the price? $30 for the thong and $38 for the bra. Not bad at all.

... and the sexiest lingerie at the planet at this very moment:
La Perla Glamour: Fairy Story Garter Belt, Thong and Bra

Sometimes one would prefer as little fabric as possible, and sometimes one would prefer a bit more fabric. If you agree with the last part, you'll probably love this fantastic set by La Perla Glamour. It's stylish and seductive. However, it's not cheap. The belt alone costs $92, the bra costs $145 and the thong costs $73. Well, it's all worth it. This lingerie is so steaming hot that it could be worth a million dollars!

You'll find all lingerie in this blog post over at Bare Necessities. Have fun!

Fun blog post. However I do think that nb 2, the transparent bra, is a little dumb :/

You've got to respect the style of Albert Hammond Jr.

Author: The Fashhh Team

You've got to respect a rock star dressing up in three piece suits, wearing skinny ties and brown shoes, and wearing white jeans without looking like a Johnny Borrell-clone.

The Strokes-guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. has managed to do the impossible, he has released two criticly acclaimed albums since The Strokes released their last record. Don't know the guy? Well, Albert was always the sharpest dressed guy in The Strokes, probably the only indie band known as much for their fashion sense as for their music.

What truly amazes us is Alberts ability of matching old, vintage clothes from the 60s and 70s with todays coolest garments. This makes the curly headed musician stand out from the crowd.

We just can't do nothing but respect Albert. Both for his fashion sense and for his music. Check out his MySpace-page. You might like his singing. If you don't, at least you can like his clothing.

(On the picture above, Albert is standig second from the left. He is standing to the right on the picure below)

Paris Hilton is on top of the world. She is a singer, a musiscian, has her own jewelry line for Amazon, has launched her own fragnance, and now she has also launched her own denim brand. And guess what? The jeans are kind of cool.

It seems like Paris is aiming for a young audience, considering her the fact that her denim brand has jeans in the price range of $60 to $90. You'll find them at Dollhouse.

Man On Top

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-06 16:45
Einar Stray is at the moment the best dressed man on Fashhh. You might know that. But what you don't know is that Einar is also an aspiring musician, playing the credible norwegian festival, Øyafestivalen, tomorrow.

This saturday Einar Stray is playing at Camp Indie at the norwegian festival Øyafestivalen. Einar plays sweet indiepop with a sensitive touch. We had to talk to the well-dressed talented musician.

Hi Einar! Tell us a bit about yourself!
- I'm a 18 years old musician and student from Sandvika, outside of Oslo.

Describe your music.
- It's not my job to describe my music. Listen yourself.

How important is style and fashion for you.
- I don't really care much about fashion and what's "in" nowadays. Just putting on what I think look cool. I like buying second-hand clothes.

What inspires you?
- I get inspired by people like Emil Nikolaisen and Jonny Greenwood.

We think you make beautiful music. When did you realize that it was music you wanted to work on?
- Thank you for the kind words about my music. I've always had a passion for music. I guess this realization came to me a few years ago.

... we have to ask. What do you think of Fashhh?
- I think Fashhh is pretty cool.

Curious about Einar Stray's music? Check out his MySpace.

The Buzz about the Colors (part 2)

Author: Marius Popa
Date: 2008-08-05 16:35
I’m a moody man. Bipolar, would say some. But these days, we’re all like that. Now libertine, now conservative; now happy, now sad; now old school, now new rave. Were we born this way or did society make us like that? I go back and forth on the idea…

Main thing is, as you may already know, I’m not a fan of happy-go-sappy colors. I just love black and grey collections, like Man of Moods’ first one. And the second. And the one after. And then, out of nowhere, came this summer’s collection. I was flabbergasted. Because it had colors.Sick, crazy, prime colors. It was beautiful, like an Alzheimer seizure on a nice winter day. This story, again, is about clothing brands. And not any type of clothes, but of the colorful kind. This time, it’s all about moods. And men.

Man of Moods (also known as MofM) is a men’s only Japanese fashion label that amazes me more with every new collection. Why should one like MofM? Well…it’s simple. First of all, because the first thing that comes to my mind is classy glam rock. The second one is versatile clothing. The third one is undoubtedly Japan, but this might also be the first one.Whatever.Put these three together, mix them with a bunch of manga CMYK print-colors and the concept of cutting-edge youth fashion and I guarantee you will get an extraordinary concoction, also known as MofM’s spring/summer collection.

But it doesn’t stop here.Man of Moods is yet more amazing because it started as a small business in 2003 and, unlike most brands, it still exists as a small business, although their budgets and magazine-coverage have tripled in the last 5 years. There’s only one designer who draws all the clothes, a manager (Masakazu Fukuyama) and a handful of workers that sew under close supervision. Every garment it evaluated and re-evaluated by the designer,  Yuya Noguchi, who then sends the clothes into stores. Only about then shops sell them in Japan. Call that exclusivist.

And if you’re still not convinced, you have to know that the SS 08 collection is the first one in full color. I would say they managed to pull it off quite artistically, but see for yourselves.

I love using colors. I bought a pair of red jeans a while back, and now am looking out to buy a pair of yellow jeans. With colors it's all about knowing how to use brightly colored items.

Want A Tattoo, But Afraid Of Needles?

Well, you don't have to worry no more. With Sleeves you'll look like your having a tattoo, without actually having one.

The LA based firm Sleeves, founded by Christian Tinsley, makes fantastic clothing with a special touch. What the special touch is? It looks like you have loads of tattoos when wearing their clothes. Tinsley is a well-known make-up artist, that have been responsible for make-up in films like The Passion of the Christ, XxX and Pearl Harbor. But it is really Sleeves that has put the guy on the fashion map.

We have no problem understanding just that. Just check out some of his creations:

T-shirt Democracy

Author: The Fashhh Team
Date: 2008-08-04 16:37

Ever heard of Threadless? It's a community-centered t-shirt store where everyone can upload their own t-shirt design, and the best designs get printed and the designers gets $2000 in cash.

Founded by Jack Nickell and Jacob DeHart, Threadless has become a cult hit in the design community. The idea is as simpel as it is brilliant: Designers upload their t-shirt designs to Threadless, and viewers rate the designs from 0 to 5. And each week the staff selects about ten designs that get picked. The designers get $2,000 in cash. So, if you've got a good taste for t-shirt, you should check out the site. Maybe you'll even try to participate in the design contest?

Some of this weeks great designs:

If you're searching for the perfect, sexy swim wear that'll make you look like a star, you should check out Cia Maritima. Being the biggest beachwear company in Latin America, and a first choice among several celebrities, you don't have to feel insecure wearing these outfits, which we absolutely adore.

Snake Halter - $100.00

Don't worry - the top isn't made of actual snake skin. It's just a print. And it looks awesome.

Misturas Halter Bikini - $115.00

This one is for women with great bodies only, we suppose, considering the low brief style Brazilian bottom. The golden ring makes the whole outfit stand out. If you've got the look, you can't go wrong with this.

Tricot & Renaissance - $150.00

What an amazing mix of gold and white! This outfit will make all your friends loose their breath.
